چکیده

Presented application of the indicator-dilution technique allows calculation of absolute values of the blood flow in the coronary arteries basing on the densitometric analysis of two coronarographic image sequences under some specific conditions imposed on injections of the contrast medium and digital image sequences registration (first sequence is recorded during the slow test administration of the contrast with a reduced amount of the indicator, second injection is recorded during the routine indicator injection). The pilot analysis of 18 patients indicates that there exists a moderate consistency between the results of this method and the clinical assessment. The results of our studies are strictly dependent on the accuracy of the densitomertic measurements and the method of data collection, i.e. manual or semi-automatic. Mentioned above pilot study has been performed on 18 coronarographic examinations. Over 10 thousand images analyses has been needed, so certain automatic aid has been strongly indicated. The measurements of the image intensity has been performed along the same cross-section line of the artery segment. For automatic positioning of the artery cross-section lines in the sequence of the moving (due to heart movement) artery images, a semi-automatic method based on the pattern matching method has been applied. The error caused by automatic data collection has been estimated at less than 10%, total method error did not exceed 23%.

Estimation of PC-MRI Pressure Map Using Integral Form of Governing Equations and Spline Segments

In this paper, the boundary-based estimation of pressure distribution in the cardiovascular system is investigated using two dimensional flow images. The conventional methods of non-invasive estimation of pressure distribution in the cardiovascular flow domain use the differential form of governing equations. This study evaluates the advantages of using the integral form of the equations in the...

Modeling of monthly flow duration curve using nonlinear regression method for un-gauged watersheds of Ardabil Province

The flow duration curve (FDC) represents the frequency distribution of water flow over a period of time, which is widely used in hydrology to evaluate different ranges of river water flow applications. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a suitable estimation model and method in un-gauged watersheds. To this end, in the present study, a modeling method based on nonlinear regression, for the p...

تخمین دمای هوا با استفاده از روش شاخص پوشش گیاهی- دما (TVX)

The determination of air temperature is important in the energy balance calculation, hydrology and meteorological studies. In this regard, the limited number of meteorological stations is one of the serious problems for air temperature determination on a large spatial scale. The remote sensing technique by covering large areas and using updated satellite images might be appropriate for estimati...

Presenting a new equation for estimation of daily coefficient of evaporation pan using Gene Expression Programming and comparing it with experimental methods (Case Study: Birjand Plain)

One of the most important componenets of water management in farms is estimating crops’ exact amount of  evapotranspiration (water need). The FAO-Penman-Montheis (FPM) method is a standard method to evaluate other techniques which are used for easy calculation of potential evapotranspiration, when lysimeter datasheets are not available. This study was carried out based on 18 years’ climatic dat...
